The Permanent Delegation of Hungary to OECD and UNESCO

The Permanent Delegation of Hungary to OECD and UNESCO represents Hungary in both international organizations the UNESCO and the OECD. The Delegation coordinates the participation and relationships of Hungary with relevant departments of OECD and UNESCO, and its principal goal is to forward the necessary information for national decision-making. The Delegation organizes, coordinates and orchestrates high level meetings and ministerial meetings of committees, the OECD Council, the UNESCO’s General Conference and the UNESCO’s Executive Board, as well as provides background documents for the participation of national delegates. The Delegation’s aim is to create a positive image of our country and ensure the efficient representation of the national interests in the international organizations.

Dr. Zoltán Cséfalvay, former Minister of State for Economic Strategy of the Ministry for National Economy was designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the OECD on 29th September 2014 and to the UNESCO on 23rd February 2015. As our Delegation is performing its duties besides two international organizations, existing synergies can be more efficiently exploited.
